This morning my ricordea is missing. Nowhere in the tank to be found.
What eats coral? I have a large fancy Nas. Snail, that may have, he steals
my star's meal from time to time. just cannot imagine what has happened.
It was really growing too. :(

chocolate chip star fish love to eat coral and other critters in the tank. These guys should be put in a fish only tank.

I had this same mistake happen to me one time. I came home from work and my starfish was in the middle of devouring my feather duster. It was a learning curve for me as well. Just take him back to your LFS and see if you can exchange him for something else or just give him back.

Oh no, I'd put it in QT, but I have a cc in there too, and that would be
trouble too. He hasn't offered to bother the feather duster. LFS didn't
mention cc like to eat coral. I love my star, he has been with me from
day one after cycling of course, been SW for one year now. I don't want
to give up either one, maybe he won't find the other ricordea. Will he
bother leather, chili or colt coral cuz I just got them too.

He will eat any living creature in your tank, except for the fish of course. You need to get rid of it before you loose more than you already have...unless you just want the cc and fish in your tank.

Awww. He hasn't bothered anyone in a week, you thing he'll even eat the larger
toadstools, colts, etc... I really wanted to try coral, but I should have researched
compatibility with cc.

it took mine 2 weeks to eat my feather duster...eventually he will find your critters and eat them. The rest is up to you now.
