Mushroom

This is my first piece, had it for a week now and has been doing great, today looks like this. Is this normal? Do I need to put it closer to the light?

Mushrooms will move to where they are happy by simply letting go and letting the water column move them. I had one move into the arms of one of my SPS corals and stay there. If it wants to move, it will.
In terms of it being happy, giving us some more info about your tank would help.

Before you judge me; the tank was given to me and I've never done a saltwater before so this is all completely new to me. Everything that I've done is at the recommendation of my LFS's; yes, I am a saltwater noob. I have my water tested weekly at LFS.

1. Type & how long you have had it: 25gal hexagon tank, 5 weeks, 1 week populated (1ea Royal Gamma, 1ea Tail-spotted Blenny, 4ea Hermit Crabs, 1ea Green Mushroom, plethora of hitchhikers)
2. Current lighting & Bulb Age: Marineland blue/white LED (approx 1 year)
3. Nitrate: Unknown
4. Calcium: Unknown
5. Phosphate: Unknown
6. Alkalinity: Unknown
7. pH: Unknown
8. Salinity: 1.025
9. Temperature: 78F
10. Liquid or strip test kits: Both @ LFS
11. Location in tank: 2/3 height of tank
12. Current amount of flow: unregulated, Marineland Bio-Wheel 200
13. Current tank dosing regimen: ?what?
14. Nearby coral: None
15. Explanation of problem: Ballooning(?) Mushroom
