Me home to fine my green bubble tip nem doing this today...

Not seen it stretch so big before and I've had it nearly twelve months

Looks like it's stretching for light. What kind of lighting? If bulbs then they probably need replacing.

It's under TMC 500's I do have a 600 lying in wait, maybe I should swap then over.
I think the pic does look browner than real life.
As for the stretching, I've never seen him do it 12 months.
I've recently lost to host clowns, could this be the reason?

Sorry, TMC aquaray LEDs.
I lost two clownfish recently to white spot.
They used to live in the nem, now the nem is not getting hosted so it seems to be stretching and growing
Ps I'm in the uk

Sometimes clowns stress anemones enough to stunt their growth. It could be as simple as that. Why do you think the clowns were stressed to the point of being overcome by ich?

I lost everything to ich a few months ago, but that's a different topic.
Clowns were last to go and I was sorry to lose them the most

These are the ones...

Two of them over a 190 bow front.

I bought an already stressed PB tang, without the space for a QT I lost
PT tang
Common clown x2
But my hi fin goby survived it,
2 months later and I've just got a pair of juvenile clowns again ( no interest in the nem as yet)

190 liters or gallons? If liters then your tank is way too small for any tang.

You are going to need a lot more light than those LED strips over your tank. They are 12 watts a piece. You need like 20 of them or more to light the entire tank.

Sorey its a 190 litre, two of the above mentioned aquaray 600 light strips.
Hope this clears things

I've upgraded one aquaray 500 to an aquaray 600 and can see the difference.
I plan on fitting two more aquaray 600 strips after Christmas,
I have recently upgraded my setup so that is why I don't yet have adequate lighting.

It seems they need an open hood, ie hanging LEDs.
I prefer a closed hood myself. Just personnel preference,
Thanks for the suggestion though.
