Hi
I'm new to the forum, so a big hello to everyone
I have a lionfish for the last 5 months and was doing amazingly until three days ago and I notice he was off his live food, then I saw he had a large white gap around his mouth.
I'm worried it's a dislocated jaw but can someone point me in the right direction. He's a beautiful fish and want to save him.
I'll try and add picture

what makes you think his jaw is dislocated? was he fighting with a tank mate?

Kind of hard to see the pict when it's sideways my neck don't bend that much
the lion kind of blends in too.
what has he been eating something may be wedged in his mouth

Yeah sorry not sure why it came out sideways!!!
He's not been fighting, only have him and a clown trigger.
That white part wasn't there the day before and now he will not eat anything, he's looking at the food but just has no care for it

try some live feeder shrimp lions need to be enticed or they won't eat , or even a few gold fish , but long term they need saltwater feeders for nutrition .
I was looking into a lion fish than I saw the scorpion fish ,
how long have you had him , what size tank ect

I've had him from little and around 6 months.
I'm just cycling a new tank for him, 315g, but now it seems I might loose him so all seems in vain.
Funnily enough I've been looking a scorpion lionfish today, beautiful fish
