Any reason why new fish quarantine tank shouldn't be hyposalinity?

I'm replacing tangs that died within a few days of putting them in copper treatment and would like to try the hyposalinity route. Rather than QT in normal salinity only to find out 2 weeks later they have ich, any reason I shouldn't go right to the fix?

Thanks in advance.

I`m not in favor of treating until you are sure of what they have. IMO just QT the fish and observe fo a month to see if they have anything. No need to stress out the fish unless you have to.
