new theory "all dead"

Today we were at the LFS looking for a new male mandarin, and while talking to the owner he offered a new theory of what may have happened after asking a few qustions about the tank parameters. His thoughts were that one of our anemones released some gammits into the water to reproduce itself. Does this sound like a possibility to anyone else if you have any questions about what happened refer back to "all dead " I think it happened around the 21st of December.

If you had a spawning incident, the water would have been cloudy, haven't found the original thread, and don't remember all the details.

Yes the water was very cloudy. After removing the dead fish and testing the water the PH was at 7.4
Would PH drop like that from a spawning incident?

Possibly. There are many scenarios that might effect the ph. Did you have any macro algae in the tank?
