I am finding long threads hanging off the wires to my wavemaker and protein skimmer and off my live rock When I try to get it out it is like thick saliva and breaks up. I can get it out with a net or wrap it around a bottle brush but then when I look again, there is more of it. It doesn't look like an algae. It is clear (white) color.
Anyone know what this is? And how to get rid of it?
