Peppermint shrimp is blue.

I have a few peppermint shrimp in my tank and I have noticed that one of them has a blue tint to him now. What is the cause of this? Nothing has changed with the tank except the addition of a power head. Please let me know.

May be getting ready to molt.

I think I remember reading that somewhere on this forum.

It should turn back after it molts and everything will be hunky-dorey.

He wasn't when we first saw him but I can't find him anywhere now. He doesn't look like the others that have molted.

I am assuming he will b molting. Keep an eye on him.

I haven't seen him in a couple days. I've only seen one of my shrimp recently. The rest have disappeared.
