I just noticed tonight that one of my peppermint shrimp has a bulge in its side. I'm guessing it's an isopod and I've read that it's usually harmless. Has anyone ever tried removing one from their shrimp or fish? Better to just leave it is what I'm guessing. The "operation" may be too stressful.

Thanks Doug; that's the article that gave me the idea about removal. But, I don't think I'm playing Dr. with my livestock anytime soon. :)

Victor.
