Has anyone ever used Pimafix or Melafix in a tank with anemones and soft coral? I've got a clownwith what looks like marine velvet, but he is hiding in the rocks.

Melafix will do little to nothing for parasitic infestations. If you are sure this is marine velvet, the fish needs to be removed and treated with copper in a seperate QT. Also look into the possibility of Brooklynella hostilis.

Cheers

Brooklynella hostilis -

Thanks Steve ! From what I have read, his symptoms closely match those of caused by Brooklynella hostilis ( more so than velvet or ich). I finally lured him out and caught him.. He is now in the QT .

Thanks again .

The ID is usually the hardest part.
Now the fish is in the QT, be sure you treat with >>formalin<<
