Pink spotted prawn goby question

My pink spotted prawn gobie has changed colors. I turned on the lights just a sec ago see how the fish were doing and gobie was whiter than before, could this just be that I woke him up or something during the night?

Yes, when the lights go out most fishes colors will fade. It is not advisable to turn your lights on an off during the middle of their dark period, this is very stressful on the fish. If you want to observe them during the dark period, either invest in some moonlights or get a flashlight with a red lens

I don't know, I would imagine any store like a walmart or hardware store would have them.
