i have a palte-coral and it has a light brownish slime starting 2 cover it so i put my hand in the tank and made like a wave towards it with out touching it most of the slime moved of it i was curios if this infection can be treated or prevented and will it spread 2 my other corals.

thanks in advance

Do you have a picture of it? It could be brown jelly disease. If it is, you don't want to fan it off because it can spread around the tank. Instead, carefully siphon it off. On the other hand I guess it could be waste or someother normal expulsion. Is it long-tentacle plate or short tentacle plate? I lost a long tentacle plate a while back to Brown Jelly Disease. I have a short tentacle right now and I don't remember seeing either one of them expel waste before. Try to post a picture. Maybe someone can help provide a better idea of what is going on.
