PLEASE HELP ....MY ANEMONE LOOKS VERRY SICK AND I AM NOT SURE WHAT TO DO




1. Type of sick coral:LONG GREEN TENTACLE ANEMONE
2. How long you have had coral: APPROX 3 WEEKS
3. Tank size: 30 GALLON
4. Tank age: 6 WEEKS
5. Current lighting: CORALIFE T5 DUAL
6. How old are bulbs:6 WEEKS
7. Ammonia: 0
8. Nitrite: 0
9. Nitrate: 20
10. Calcium: NOT SURE
11. Phosphate: NOT SURE
12. Alkalinity: NOT SURE
13. pH: 8.0
14. Salinity: 1022 TO 1023
15: Hydrometer or Refractometer: INSTANT OCEAN HYDROMETER
16. Temperature: 80 DEGREES
17. Liquid or strip test kits: NO
18. Location in tank: FAR LEFT CORNER
19. Current amount of flow: MARINELAND MAX-JET 600 POWER HEAD
20. Current dosing regimen: NONE
21. Other coral in tank: NO
22. Other fish in tank: YES
23. Explanation of problem: ONLY HALF LOOKS ALIVE
24: What you have tried up until this point to treat: NOTHING

who tested your water?get some test kits,tank is too new for a nem,nitrates shouldn't be that high on a new tank,what fish do you have,how many,how long did you cycle the tank,how did you cycle your tank,temp too high,whats your pwc schedule?

And by the way i think this thread is to let you know what to put into your thread when you start one,you'll get more responses if you start one again!!

It sounds like your tank is too new for an anemone.

Thanks for all of your input ...i am going off of some guy's advice at the local fish store...i know ...big mistake ...now i know...anemone died as well as 2 other fish ....i am going to raise alot of ( you know what ) at the local fish store for getting me in this situation...i am going to start over now ...thank you all for your help
