Porcupine puffer going blind from lights?

Hi guys, I was at my local fish store and one of the workers tolled me that they dont get porcupine puffers anymore because they would go blind from bright lighting or coral reef lighting in general, is this true ?, because I have a medium sized healthy porcupine puffer but have never heard of porcupine puffers going blind from lights. Thank you
