Ok, I have a powder blue queen tang about a year old, and we have a 55g tank with a blue lined damsel. I just noticed this morning that she has a huge red spot on her face but no were else I have been looking everywere for an answer and cant find one please help:(

Need a bigger tank for your tang. 55 might have been okay for a small one, a year latter and twice the size = stressed out. IMO

Red spots are usually bacterial infections and/ or wounds from aggression.

Agreed that a Powder Blue Tang needs a much larger tank. Tangs need lots of swimming space. Smaller tanks do not give them that, so they become stressed. Stress lowers a fishes immune system and opens them up for disease. Almost every post in this forum dealing with sick fish, is where a fish is in a "smaller than suggested" tank (outside the stories where it was just introduced into the tank and probably had something already present at time of purchase).
