Greetings,

A few days ago, I bought the media reactor by the Two Little Fishes (150 model) and I used the Phos-Zorb that is highly recommended by the LFS. Two days later, my red open brain coral started to have some areas bleached. I have this coral for about 5 months and it has expanded and pigmented inmmensely. I remember someone mention about the Aluminum Oxide that causes some corals to regress? My water chemistry is as good as it can be so I know it is not a factor. I also have good lights (9W/gallon). I reckon I should remove the media and replaced with carbon for the time being? DP

Might be a good idea to stop running it for a while. Research that specific coral and see what others say. There are quite a few corals that don't like the phosphate removal stuff, so this definately sounds like one of those cases.
