Aquarium Advice Newbie
I purchased a pair of beautiful pair of maroon's yesterday and the larger one was acting very aggressive towards the other, even while in the bag during acclimation. After a few hours, I saw that the smaller one's fins were all very tattered from all the chasing and nipping.
I immediately grabbed a Container Store container (roughly around 10 gallons) filled it with newly purchased RO/DI salt water (only about 5 gallons) and put a couple live rocks in there along with a Maxi-Jet 1200.
My question, is this setup okay until the clown heals? Does it not need to cycle? I panicked and wanted to get that fish out of the main. I put Melafix to help. Is that okay?
