Red cyanobacteria

My son has been battling cyanobacteria for a week now. This is his first experience with it. We have used chemi-clean with water changes, as well as, removing it with a turkey Baster. It still coming back. Any suggestions? Thanks.

When I had it last I cut back my feeding, sucked it out of the tank and did water changes. So far I haven't had another round of it

Is this a new tank? And battling it will take longer then a week. Not many good things happen in SW that fast only bad stuff lol

Thanks for the info. It is a new tank 3 months in to it. I will pass along the information to him.
