OK let's see if I can remember the checklist.

I will post a picture as soon as I can get a good one. :)

I have had him for about a month now.

He was my first fish after I cycled my tank.

He was looking great up until about 2 weeks ago. At first it looked like his scales were missing. Now it looks like they are falling off and are a grayish color instead of his brilliant purple. The guy at the LFS said it was probably stress but that was before the graying of skin. His tail fin is also slightly deteriorated but I don't know if it was like that when I got him or not. He eats well most days but there was a couple days a week ago where is wasn't "into" food. Then it happened again tonight. I initially thought he lost his scales due to stress and now they are growing back and the dead ones are just falling off. But now he didn't eat and isn't swimming around as much today so I am worried again.

I have seen zero aggression in my tank.
My water checks out OK PH 8.2 Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 15 Salinity 1.023.
I didn't QT because he was my first fish. I waited a week then got my 3 chromis (now 2 because one of the small ones got stuck on the PH intake somehow) and I just got my Maroon Clown on Friday.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
