Sea grass?

I have been watching this stuff grow for a while and it doesn't seem to spread much. My Ransford goby picks at it so I'm guessing it is okay to leave it.. Any ideas what it is?

TIA

Looks like hair algae and it can be a pain if it gets out of control. Keep an eye on it. I'm surprised it hasn't spread.

I agree, it looks like hair algae. I'm also wondering why it's not spreading, maybe you have a lot of flow in the thank and that is the only place it can grow.

Yes it`s hair algea and needs to be yanked out of the tank. Read these articles on how to control.

Just an update. I have a recently cycled tank and i actually have about a 6 inch strand of hair algae, right on the glass in the middle of the tank! LOL! It's just the one strand.....
