I recently just bought a new Sea Hare for my tank. Worked really well to get rid of some of the green hair algae. Last night it appeared that my nassarius snails were attacking him. I woke up this morning and looked into the tank and the hare was not moving and all scrunched up. he has what almost appears to be a cut on its back. it is about an inch long and is completely purple and he occasionally secretes a purple liquid. When I saw this I immediately put him into quarantine. I was wondering if this was something that was normal or does this mean the hare is dying? Also can the purple liquid harm my tank?

Yes they can be poisonous if they are dying. It was a good move to move it out of the tank. Moving this to the sick fish and coral forum.
