I would guess its some sort of birthmark or defect.
If it isn't splotchy and the fish are still find by now, I don't know if its anything serious.

spots are still there, tank is still fine for levels, fish are still eating and active, but I noticed today that there was substrate in the tank from my display (from when I moved the LR over to the QT tank) and the smaller of the too clowns was picking it up in his mouth like he was hungry or something but I have been feeding them everday just what they can eat in about 2 minutes

Sorry went on a little vacation. Perhaps he wants to move things around?
I am not an expert with clownfish but I have had them for a couple years now.
Has the white dot been getting smaller or bigger?

On the one fish its almost gone and on the other it seems to becoming more of a white colour and going away.

well the one fish doesnt look like he has anything left and the smaller fish still has a small trace of it so Im still watching them seeing if it is going to come back or what the deal is

Heres hopping they are going to be ok and end up getting better really soon.
