I had a pair of O. Clowns, and one got sucked into the overflow and down into the filter and died. The other clown is now covered with a whitish looking film, swimming eradicly, and breathing heavy. Any ideas on what to do? everything looks great as far as water parameters, 1.02 sg 0 ammonia 0 nitrates 0 nitrite ph 8.2 0 phospates.
thinik he's just missing his pal and is all stressed. i bought them about 2 weeks ago as a pair out of a tank of about 6.

thanks in advance

You need to quarantine the fish and dose with the appropriate medication. I have never had the problem so maybe someone can jump in with a little more iinsight.

I had the same thing on my clown. It is a white film that looks like mold, right. Is it on his sides, near the his tail? If so, mine had this, but didn't make it. I was told to do a fromalin dip. I thought it was ich and didn't reat him properly, so he died. I would check this article out:

or this one:

Sorry I couldn't give any better advice, since mine didn't make it.
