Ny copperband has got this mark on both sides of his body, any ideas?

Looks like something is eating him. Could be some kind of bacteria eating at him.

Very sorry about your butterfly. I lost my last copperband not too long ago and it was really sad.

I am sorry too. Butterfly fish, even the copperband, are really hard to keep long term IMO. I wish they didn't even sell them at the LFS. I have known a very few people that kept them for over a year. Again, copperbanded are easier, but if Carry cant keep one, most people would have the same results. I never had luck with them and I have some 15 year old fish.

The first copperband I had would still be alive today if it weren't for my own stupidity. The second one just didnt eat no matter what I tried. I will try another one when I find one that is just as much as a food hog as the first one I had.
