Sick coral?

What is this white stuff ? It is my first coral in a 38gal tank .
Its been running for 2 months and i just added this brain coral , the next day it started having the white strings around it

Looks like its expelling its zooxanthlae algae (what gives it the color and feeds it from the light) something may be off for your water parameters but it's also common when newly added. Keep an eye on it and see how it responds over the next week. It looks to be open so it should be ok.

My cup coral does the same thing during rwc. Then cleans itself off over night. You should be fine
