I have two Acans in my 29G BC. How do I know if they are still ok? I have them about 3/4 of the way up from the substrate. I feed them mysis from time to time. They're open and not closed up at all so I don't know if they're ok or not. I had my first death since I started my SW tank. my blue/purple ricordea died. that sucks big time since it was so pretty.

Can you post pics of it ?
If not and you can see flesh and it inflating and it is accepting foods chances are it is just fine .
Most corals go through grumpy phases where they dont seem well , then a few days later are normal again ..

I think I was sold bum acans. They didn't look like anything that I've seen pics of. I threw one out and I'm trying to save the other. I also moved my zoos to a frag/qt tank for now.

I tested all the parameters and everything checked out perfect.
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 0
phos 0-.25 hard to tell with the light in my office
calcium 400
ph 8.3
sg 1.023
