Sick toad stool coral

I think my toadstool coral is sick.. It looks like this one section of it is rotting.. See attached pictures! Should I treat with supplements or vitamins? Or cut damaged section off?? Any advice ???

Some times leathers lose the top layer of "skin", and then they look fine shortly after. I'm not sure if that's the case here, but i've seen it.
