Have several brittle stars and some type of worm that have taken over my LPS an now it stays purple and appears to be slowing dying. Are these creatures the most probable cause. Thanks

What type of coral is it? A picture might help but I doubt the critters are the cause. They are probably cleaning up a dying coral.

Thanks Bribo 12. It is a star polyp. Tank is 370 gallons and 3 to 4 months old. Closed system. Water parameters: PH 8.2. Nitrates slightly above 0. Phosphates 0, Calcium 300. Fish and other corals are OK . I have had 4 degree temp change a couple of times due to problems with pump and chiller to 83 degrees max Try to keep stable at 78.

Your calcium is low but I doubt that would affect green star polyps. Is any of it left? You could try moving it to see if it will open, I don't think te critters are the issue though.
