I have had this bubble tip for a month or so now and once it moved to the spot its in thats when things turned. My tank is well over a year old. I thought my parameters might be off so I checked with my kit and took water to my lfs and had them test and it all came out within normal limits...my cal was low tho..360. I have led lighting. I have a 20gal with a 10gal sump and do 2.5-3gal water changes every week. Any ideas as to why it looks battered?

More info on your LEDs is necessary as they aren't all created equal. Some have much more power going to each diode than others, meaning that many can't support photosynthetic creatures.

Nitrate readings are 0 and phosphate wasn't much more.

I have a TaoTronics 120w dimmable

you do know 1/2 way with those lights is when the dimmer is turned all the way down any further they shut off
that's how there designed because those lights are strong
I didn't believe it till I read through the booklet that came with them

Really? Cause that seems pretty low

some pet shops rent a par meter think I paid $20 plus $20 security deposit
you be surprised how strong they are
now I run my blues 90% whites 55% it made a world of difference how corals react

I will have to call around to check out renting one if I can..thanks. Now would it be what I think is 90%?

I'm running my Radions at 75% and still have dulled color out of some of my LPS...If you've been running those at full tilt, that's probably part of the problem. Things need eased into 100%...if needed at all.

I guess im just confused on how the dial is set then

If the light damaged it, it will take time to rebound. Are you sure your alkalinity is within normal limits?

Some reason its coming back to life
