On one of my trochus snails, there is a barnacle looking thing with a little fan like thing that is going in and out of it...is this part of the snail?

How did my snail get to your house?
I have the EXACT same thing. I have to think it's a small barnacle, since it looks exactly like the things I used to have to scrape off of my boat. They kick out their feathery foot to catch planktonic food.
