Spinning Shell Less Blue Hermit Crab?

Hi everyone! Like the title says I have a blue legged hermit crab that not only is he out of his shell, but spinning in circles. After one f the larger crabs tried to make him lunch, I isolated him in a hanging isolation box with a few shells in it. He isn't dying is he?? This is not normal behavior it it? Could he be dying, or just in need of a nudest colony?

Does he have bigger shells he could move into?

Yup, a wide range of ones.

Are you sure he's not molting? Mine will sometimes jump out to push the last of their skin off.

Maybe but I've never seen them spinning like that during a molt.
