I have an orange tree sponge in my 29 gallon tank that is turning white and clear all around. I have it under a powerhead so that algae doesn't grow on it, and I feed it once a week with micro-vert. Please help!

More than likely either your tank does not provide what the sponge needs or at some point in time the sponge was exposed to air, which gets in and clogs up it's siphons and killes the tissue. You need to cut away the dying and dead areas to give it a chance.

FWIW, I do not believe the microvert will help your sponge, from what I have read they feed primarily on silicates.

Sorry, forgot my manners...
