Spots on fish

Hi so over past two weeks two off my fish coming out with spots like ich. Thing is they come for day or two then stay away for 2-3 days then come back all other fish are clear so could it be ich or something else. Thanks for any info.

That is how ich works. You only see the cyst life stage.

Yes. That is the life cycle of ich. It grows in the sandbed, then develops to free swimming where they swim up to find host fish. This is then followed by the cyst phase where we actually see them on the fish...shortly before these cysts burst into more of the parasite which fall into the sandbed.

Thanks have read it before as had ich about 18 months ago. I did put new fish in qt but not treat it for anything as nothing showed up so in future would it be best to hypo new fish when there in qt.
