Star fish dead.

My blue star fish has died. Do i need to remove it? Its in a bad spot underneath rock.

Sorry, about that, but those starfish shouldn't even be available for sale as they starve to death in captivity 99% of the time.

I'd remove it, best thing to do. I've left things that died in the tank but only if I cant get it or the tank was sooo huge it didnt cause a spike.

Sorry about your starfish btw......I hate losing critters....
 
Removed with a coat hanger bent to a very weird angle.. Did an 18 LT water change and added some carbon to filtre.

Everything eventually dies...
The OP may not have known but she did a pretty good job.

True, I will agree that keeping one for a year+ is a testament to her skills.


My initial reaction/post was not really directed to the op, but rather disappointment in the industry overall because there are some animals that have no place in home aquaria for a variety of reasons, yet we always see them on the market. :(

My condolences to the op.
