starfish looks fishy

I have a red starfish (don't know the tech.name). It has a spot on one of the legs that looks like something ate it. What's with that?

Can you post a picture of the starfish for us? It could be anything and without a pic it will be difficult to say.

What kind of starfish? Something could have bitten it or if your salinity, pH, or temp. has greatly varied could also affect them. Post a pic, if possible, as Ziggy asked

I agree that a pic is necessary. As stated above could almost me anything.
