Sunny d turning black

So I got a sunny d in a trade and looked good when first opened in tank 2 days later I noticed it was open but all black no orange to it at all... Then it closed for a day and now it's back open but still black ... Got some armor of gods at the same time they look great and some gorilla nipples which never opened since I got them any ideas I can send pics if it helps

What kind of lighting do you have , what kind of lightning were they under ?

8 t5 bulbs 48" they were under LEDs

Give them a couple of weeks to get use to your lighting and they should be fine if they were acclimated properly . Mine went 1 month without opening .
