Well, its standing upright now. However there are alot more white spots. What is going wrong?

Looks like necrotic tissue. Either use some airline tubing to siphon and scrape the areas or take it out and cut the areas out. It should recover on its own afterwards.

I hate to cut it out if I don't have to. Can I dip it in some sort of coral RX to cure it?

CoralRX is for bugs and things that will be brought into your tank. We are talking about tissue necrosis here. Cut it out.
