It has been happy and healthy in the same spot since i got it. on the 11/10/08.
Not done any thing to my tank apart from take the leathers out and added a few LPS, but none are near the torch.
I took the last leather out yesterday and the trunk ripped a little bit and release some white powdery stuff i put some carbon in staight away.

The parameters are very good now.TEMP 25c, S.G. 1.025, PH 8.2, CAL 440ppm, ALK 7.4dkh, MAG 1380ppm, NITRATE 0ppm, PH04 0ppm. All tested with salifert kits apart from the PH04 D&D used at the LFS.
I have a litle problem with low CAL and ALK the past few weeks, it was around 380ppm and 7.0dkh.

The Torch is under 6x39w t5s, about 10" from the lights.
I lost a Hammer head last week and i could see the skeleton but on the torch i cant. So my other thought was do they sulk when the heads are splitting.
Does any one know whats happening

Cheers Will

I never really noticed them "sulking" when they split. (I like that term!) But I always noticed mine would not look 100% every few months. I've always assumed this was normal. Seems like all corals go through a "down in the dumps" phase for a few days every few months - not all at the same time. I've always assumed this was just a normal growth thing - devoting more energy to something other than inflating.

They don't really look diseased by your pictures. Just not 100% happy.
