I have 55g tank, with a 4 1/2' rectangulus trigger, a 3 " undulated and several damsels. All have been coexsisting well for nearly a year. 4 days ago, while cleaning the tank, the rect. trigger got spooked and tried to jump out of tank. Unfortunately he missed and hit the wall, then fell back into the tank. Ever since he has been hiding in a cave, I have not seen him eat. There is no visible wound, swelling or abrasion. He was the most active and dominant in the tank, but no longer does anything. All other fish are fine, chemicals test good, no change in fish's color or appearance

Most likely stunned unless it has had some sort of unseen internal damage. There really isn't much you can do except play wait and see. Be sure to keep water quality optimal and stress minimal. A good sized water change (well aged/aerated) wouldn't hurt even though the specs seem in line. It can often do wonders.

Do you have a cycled QT?

Cheers
Steve
