Turbo snail died

I just started to run my biocube fallow for a week (7 weeks to go) due to ich infestation of my tank. I checked my water and all is good amonia, n02 no3 at 0. Could it be because I have like no algae now? How long can they go without eating?

Every once in awhile you`ll need to throw in a few flakes for 1) feeding the nitrifying bacteria and 2) feed the CUC
