Watermellon Chalice tissue recession

So i put a frag in my tank of watermellon challice and a crab knocked it off the rock and it landed on an LPS that stung it. About 2 days later the tissue where it landed on the other coral started to recede or die off and the white skeleton is now showing at the base of the coral. Can they rebound from this or is it just going to keep dying off?

Following along. I have one that was knocked over by crabs, it took me 5 days to find it (small frag) it was upside down in the sand. Now all the edges have receded. I hope to get it healthy again too.
