what is this

I have this white cotton like stuff on my coral it has a sponge like substance
any idea what it is and how to get it off it looks nasty
seems it's choking out the zoa

Maybe some sort of sponge? The picture isn't very clear, but maybe someone else has an idea based on the description.

I can't really see... I have white sponge looking spots on some lr growing. No real idea what it its, but none on any coral.
