Her face looks messed up. At first I thought it was getting scraped up from swimming into everything and squeezing into the rocks. But it's progressively gotten worse.

"She" has HLLE (head and lateral line erosion). They believe it's from malnutrition. You should be feeding it a varied diet- enriched foods, meaty foods, keep nori on a clip for it to graze on..etc.

Ok. Thank you. We feed a variety of foods but haven't put much nori out. I'll hop on it.

That's a pretty severe case. Try that rods food, or make your own frozen fish recipe.
