worms?

while performing maintenance on my FO 55 gla. i noticed what appears to be little white worms on the bottom side a a piece of coral, They are anywhere from1/8 to 3/4 inch long and firmly attached to the coral. Somebody please tell me they are just little passengers and not a parasite, please!:eek:

thin line pencil lead and not attached to anything other than the coral,
Does not appear to be part of another animal. Look more like spaghetti
worms but not attached to a host.
