I have 2 blue dolphinc, c. moori. One has clamp fin, one fin rot. My rubin red has milky white spot on his side. I noticed this after my dog knocked the bubbler over during the night. The noise and vibration freaked my fish out. Thdy were huddled together next morning and most are cichlids. I called well known lfs in my area, the reef. They suggested microbe lift products, which I decided after 2 days were not helping. I think I might lose one of my dolphins. Before I got the herbal stuff my fiance picked up tetra all in one.. Today, I decided I wanted to try it instead. I called the lfs and a different person told me to do a 10% change and treat with the tetra, so that's what I did. The tank has been up for 4 or 5 wks, is recently cycled. I was doing at least 30% changes daily if not more before I started treatment. My readings are good now.
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 5
ph 7.2
temp 78
First little guy is worse off, really moving quickly his tail looks worse.
Second one with clamped fin.
Third has milky white spot which looks a little better than this a.m.
Should I raise temp (guy at lfs said to raise to 82, but I don't know.. Is there anything else I can do to try to save my fish. Thank you

I also forgot to add I use prime. I welcome all comments and suggestions, thank you

If you can I would treat the whole tank for ick. Its the white spots. Slowly turn the heater up to around 80-84. Over a few hours. Im not sure about clamp fin because ive never heard of it. Fin rot I would definitely change 40% of the water and add just around 1 teaspoon of aquarium salt

it's more like one cloudy spot.. I don't see salt like specs on any of them. I should do 40% change in a.m. before adding new dosage of med? Right now tank just has first day's dose of tetra all in one.

I don't believe your dealing with ich though I can not tell from your pics what exactly is the issue here. Symptoms are fin rot, clamping and white areas? Are the white areas fuzzy or stringy like threads/hairs?

Did you have water quality issues that have now been resolved or are ongoing ? Water quality issues are the most common cause of fin rot. As fin rot is a bacterial infection, increasing the temp will only make it spread faster. Leave the temp at 78f. The white areas may be a bacterial infection as well although if there were water quality issues, it may be the result of this.

Addressing water quality issues and increasing your wcs (daily or more frequent) should always be the first step when health issues arise. Adding and mixing all sorts of questionable and useless chemicals never solves anything and typically results in even more problems.

it doesn't seem to be that fuzzy and not stringy on the red fish's side. My dolphin looks worse, it's a little fuzzy. It seems to be eating away at his tail and top part.. yes, I was changing water daily for weeks to get water right for them. As of last week, I began having 0 nitrite and ammonia with a little nitrate.

the water is pristine now. The instructions say to change water on 6th day so I am confused. I'd do 2 a day if I thought it was going to save them, but aren't you supposed to leave the med in there.. I explained what I believe stressed these guys out. I don't think it was water conditions, this time

So, they have been in this tank since you set it up and started cycling it? Being exposed to poor water conditions during a cycle has likely reduced their immunity and damaged their slime coat which has made them susceptible to infection. The one fish pictured has a serious infection based on the pics. I am going to venture to guess he has not improved by today or is doing worse?

Do you have a suitable sized qt they can be moved to? Proper treatment will likely affect any good bacteria you are just starting to establish in this tank.
