My male angel was only breathing out of his right gill the other one was closed tight but now he is just breathing heavily. What does this mean?

Ph = 7.6
The only fish in the tank are my angel pair and right now they are cleaning their spawn sight. I do 10-15% weekly water changes. Thanks in advance!
