Bala died..wasn't ICK

what started out to look like ICK took a turn for the worse for my 6 inch bala I adopted. the day before he died the little white dots started excreting this weird white thread like stuff out of themselves all over him. it looked like he was growing hair. I fought for him but I guess it was some kinda fish lice or something, really gross to look at when I got him out, poor little guy, I made him a nice little grave next to my betta in the woods behind my house lol I'm worried though, now my red tail has white spots all over his front fins, if he dies i'm gettin rid of my tanks, he's my buddy and whens he's gone, its going to suck the fun right out of this hopbby

So very sorry for your loss. It does sound like it was a fungus. Did he look cottony?

the bala on that page looks exactly how mine did when he forst got sick, then the weird hairs came out and he died
