Beta with a case of curiosity, I suspect
I had to look at Sammie twice this morning to believe what my eyes were seeing. It seems he has managed wound himself right in the middle of his back (at the zenith of his arch). If I were to hazard a guess, I would say that he probably got a bit stuck trying to squeeze through the low arch that my new piece of drift wood makes over the sand. However, being new to the whole fish thing, I was wondering what I need to look out for infection-wise to make sure he heals up properly.
Right now he's still acting fine gobbling all his food and harassing the White Clouds. I, again, am assuming that means he's not in too much danger yet. Any advise? Thanks bunches. |

Keep the water pristine. Do extra water changes if necessary. Don't use melafix or pimafix or bettafix.

I take it those are chemicals to 'help' the fish?
