Betta bitting tail, please help!

Here he is in normal lighting if it helps any.
(He won't let me take pictures of his face no matter how hard I try)
 
This is a simple answer: if he is biting his own tail, it means you have to much flow in your tank.

The problem happened to be that he had velvet! But he is better now and is growing back his fins! :)
