This past thanksgiving I went out of town and left my fish in the care of a friend. I gave her instructions of fish feeding schedule. When I came home a week later, my Betta fishes belly was very swollen. I cut back on his feeding but still no luck.
I don't know if he was overfed, or if its dropsy...should i give him a pea? How often do i do that?

I would try to give it a pea. Take off the thin shell and crush it up. Not sure how often, maybe every other feeding? If it has dropsy you might be able to see pineconey scales that stick out. My fish that have had dropsy lasted only a few days, but I don't know.

Epsom salt is supposed to help. A teaspoon/5gallons. But depends on other stock you have. I guess cories don't cope we'll with salt.
